After an eight match winning streak over 14 day, on the hardcourts of California, Laurynas Grigelis was tripped up on day 15 by Alejandro Falla of Colombia. Laurynas had advanced through the qualies in L.A. in decisive fashion, leading me to think that Falla was going to be caught off guard as he made the transition from high-altitude clay to sea-level hardcourts. 

In any case, Laurynas had a great run. Now, it's time to get a jump on adjusting to a different reality. Heat. Laurynas, get the hell out of California! It's time to sweat. The vacation is over.
